I have a plethora of projects that are right on the cusp of completion...

Thanks to EmtAnderson I can wrap this one up. I have extra NOS red domes so I can switch between R/B and R/R. I really like the R/B setup it looks really sharp both on static display and all lit up. My current favorite minibar... I have another Custom minibar ready to be completed that will be next.

Heck yeah, almost nothing beats a NOS cal spec 22I.

Here are my three. ;)

Nice collection. I've never seen so many variations to a mini-Aero. I once had a magnetic-mount mini, but it was solid red. Did you see the PM I sent?

Solid red, like the one below those 3 cal specs? ;)

(BTW, number 5 is currently on it's way to germany :D )

Got your PM, will answer you this weekend.

I'm pretty busy currently since some douchebag crashed me and my bike 2 weeks ago.

Lawyer, Doc's, etc...

They look neat. But I got to thinking, if it weren't for Hollywood there wouldn't be much interest in CA spec light bars. The only way I found out about them is through TV shows and movies.

Oh definitely! The first bar in my collection was LAPD Aero...the same one like seen in the Terminator movie. Then I went for Code 3 (Ghostbusters)...and so on :)

Hope you weren't seriously hurt. At least you can still type! :p

Bike? Bicycle or motorcycle?

I'd like to see more of the gear driven reflector style one... both the mounting of the sealed beam and the filters on the rotators.

It's incredibly simple to do with a 22I. See this post... http://elightbars.org/forums/f34/custom-mini-aero-61482/
towards the end I posted a pic how to, which takes alot of guess work out of it.

Good luck.

Rob

The two specials in his picture were built by me in the u.k.

The geared clear dome version was easy, with little effort. One rotator removed but gearing left in.par 36 solid color gels used,as per disco lights.

The chain drive aerotwinsonic mini was not so easy.

Chains shortened and motor had to go almost in the middle as you can see.

Works perfectly and took around 8 hours to create.

Note my clear aerodynic 24eah.par 36 filters red/blue and rear corner amber.

The all clear 24 eah is awesome.

How did you affix the PAR 36 gels to the gear driven rotators and how do you keep the H1 bulbs from just turning them into goo!

The quality of collections never stops amazing me. It's even more impressive "over the pond". Very cool stuff here posted by all.
