Select Alerts were a neat advancement for their time, operating by creating a front cutoff allowing for a rear flashing operation.

haha well it probably came from me wayyy back then, cool thing about this lightbar is that it was ordered from Code 3 to function like a CTS lightbar with one rear amber flasher inboard just like a CTS, these lightbars are really cool.

Neat story and explains the single SelectAlert.  Most SD and XL bars with that feature have it on both sides.

This is basically a XD version of the CTS made with select alert instead of the rear flasher.  Very nice bar.
