Can you convert Ballast tir6s to regular 12 volt

Hello i have a few ballast whelen tir6 heads laying around and i was wondering if there is any way to convert them to a regular 12 volt head that i can run with any flasher or if there is a ballast flasher on the market that i can buy to power these heads.

You cannot convert them, hence the requirement of a ballast.

You could always call Whelen and ask them for suggestions.

Some tir6 heads were labeled as ballast but operated on 12v. Have you tried just connecting them to see if they work?

I have seen this. What I believe they have done is labeled them to indicate that there is a ballast on-board.

yes i have tried that they will not work with only 12 volts
