Alright ya'll, I am stumped. I have a Carson 1012 hooked up to a SOS 100H speaker. When I wired up everything, all worked with the exception of the manual option. The next day I re-tested everything and it worked. I let the mechanical tone ramp down before testing other tones. After it ramped down and turned off (as normal), I tried to use it again and it wouldn't work. The wiring, fuses, connections are all good. The speaker is 6 months old so I can't imagine it would have died, but I have not tested it yet. Any suggestions or things I can double check other than testing the speaker? You can hear all the tones when you put your ear to the siren box, but yet again the manual option doesn't work. HELP!

Note: The two light switches work properly.

Thanks,

Andrew

If you are hearing the tones in the box but not out of the speaker you either have a speaker problem or a connection problem. You can test the speaker by putting a 9v battery to it.

I had the same problem with mine. I was already to send it back to Carson since the speaker was good. I swapped out a brand new one I had been eyeballing. Turns out the fuse on the back is only for the final and all the other functions of the siren will work when it is blown. I would be sure to check it if you haven't.

Do all of the other tones work properly? If not check your connections on the back of the siren box. And if that doesn't fix it, if you are using multiple pieces of wire to get the connection to the speaker then try replacing it with one long section of wire; Just to limit fail points.
