Does anyone have the back cover of the Yankee catalog? I'm referring to the edition featured in eLighbars' literature album on Photobucket. I once had that exact same catalog and I remember a cartoonish character (Michelin man-like) whose head was actually a red beacon.

I'm surprised that no one's responded to this yet. I know I'm not crazy regarding this memory... but I can't be absolutely certain until someone affirms my description.

i was hoping someone maybe able to help me on code 3 model 3862 pinout because iam missing my plug for the back PLEASE ANY HELP AT ALL

I had the same thought. After some searching around on the web, I found a photo of a siren clearly marked as listed above. Unfortunately it was for sale, and there was no documentation with it.

Note that the PA15A manual is for series 1E (1970s) and the PA20A manual is for series 2D (late 1960s). E series (1970s) PA15As and PA20As have high-pitched wail and yelp tones, and D series (late 1960s) PA15As and PA20As have low-pitched wail and yelp tones.

Tim: Thanks for the '49 Federal catalog. Super-nice. I noticed a couple of variations that I'd never seen before, and how they listed the underhood sirens separately. Wish the prices were still the same!

1950's B&M siren Parts/price List

Awesome, Tim! The only thing missing is the SC8B, which wasn't available then! It's a wonder that most of those parts haven't changed, except where certains ones have been discontinued by their manufacturers and then replaced. Too bad you can't get those parts for Kevin for the same price today!

Would anyone happen to have a manual w/schematic for a North American S75M electronic siren? A friend of mine got a couple of these old sirens off ebay and they have severe internal problems. He called North American and they won't let anyone have copies of their manuals or schematics. They're afraid of someone trying to duplicate the electronics. Thanks.

Here are a few pictures of my Dominion Auto catalog from 1985. Note that they offered a few Code 3 lightbars in there too.

I have this in one of the rooms of my house. I pieced together two different sections of a single add on Photoshop to fill out the dimensions of the frame. The vintage ads are really growing on me... both light ads and the advertisements for police & fire vehicles.

Nice, Jenny. We bought one of these same setups back in the early '80s. It went on a '66 Ford station wagon ambulance that we had bought from a small community. All it had on it when we got it was a small Federal WL siren. We replaced the WL with a Q, and mounted the Mars bar right behind the Q, adding a pair of DoRay lollipops between the two beacons. What I liked about this setup was the ability to use the colored inserts; and we alternated red and blue inserts on the two beacons. Something interesting: at that time Radio Shack sold colored inserts the same size as the Mars inserts, and they fit the SW beacons.

Wasn't sure if this would be better off in this section or the Vintage section. Mods, please move where ever you think it is appropriate.

I found this while digging around at our radio maintenance shop. This is the best copy I could come up with. Might come in handy if you have one.

Great siren's when used with the original Edge 9000 lightbars. I used the WS-227A with the lighting controls and work flawlessly for 15+ years until we upgraded to LED.

Done. Thank you for your contribution!

WS224, thanks a lot for the WS 224A manual, it answers a lot of questions I had regarding my WS 222. It appears the WS 222 preceded the 224 by at least 2 years. Although almost exactly the same in external appearance, the two sirens have lots of differences in circuitry and construction. Here is a copy of the WS 222 manual, credit goes to member RDT Car 25.

This is great. We are really close to getting the archive of these up. If you have any more can you send them to me or post them?
