A detective from my department is heading up to Sandy Hook for Christmas and extended an offer to bring any donations from our department and personally deliver to the teachers, firefighters and police officers of that community. I would encourage everyone here to consider doing the same. Something as simple as a card letting them know that we support them and a couple of $5 gift cards to Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks or something, mailed to the school, fire department or police department.

Newtown Police Department

Newtown, CT 06470
Connecticut State Police Troop A

Southbury, CT 06488
I didn't include the address to the school. I'm sure the fire department would share with the school staff if requested, or else you can google the address yourself.
This doesn't have to be about Christmas if you do not believe in the holiday, it can just be one member of public safety to another in a time of stress and need.
