I love restoring and cleaning up old lights, breathing new life into them for collecting.

I purchased this one from NEB, which was a great transaction! I know this wasn't a big deal of a cleanup or restore, but this is what I do with all incoming lights into my collection.

I took it apart, cleaned the insides and the outside of the case (had a slight sticky tape residue on the side). I even take fine point Q-tips into the seams and lettering and blow out the insides. I put a new chord on it (professionally attached as it would from factory) and used Novis cleaner to polish up the lens.

Looks great!!! Could pass as NOS....maybe. :)

Just wanted to show you guys what I do with my lights.

I'm cleaning up an ex-chicago PD blue firebeam today. Also polishing up a green lens I found for it. It's a fun hobby and it's about the nostalgia of having used these lights myself years ago.

The blue dome shined up nicely!! It was much like the green dome, cruddy.

I have no clue what's on this green dome but it should shine up just as well. These stiff Q-tips work well to get in seams and raised lettering.
