Code 3 Deluxe Arrowstik Controller Problem

Ive got a deluxe controller for the code 3 arrowstiks and when I hooked it up it will only steady burn two bulbs in the stik, no flashing, or directional signals, and when I change the selector on the controller the two bulbs that are lit will change. I tried it both on a stik in a MX7000 and another stik, same result on both units. Both stiks work correctly with the standard controller I had, the deluxe controller worked fine with the MX7000 about a year or so ago. Any ideas whats happening, I hooked up the wires according to the directions on the controller. Is the controller shot or did I connect something incorrectly? any input is appreciated.

Thanks Ryne

This was tacked onto the traffic advisor sticky, but I think it would get more people weighing in as it's own troubleshooting thread.

So anyone replying, keep in mind OP did at leas know about the traffic arrow sticky.... so let's not have a bunch of links to that and assume he wants actual "live" help from the community.

Echo what Shawn said, C3 arrows are negatively switched, meaning the positive/hot is actually always on, so if the lamps steady but won't flash, and they work fine with another control, then that particular one is shot.

or the cable is bad and the wires are shorting out inside the cable, I saw this one with a truck that was in the body shop, the guys in the shop ran a screw through the harness when they were replacing the sill panels .

Run the controller without being connected to the TA. If it's doing it without any cables attached other than power and ground, then it's the controller. If it isn't, something's wrong with your cable/TA.
