Code 3 MX7000 with center PAR36 strobes? Factory or not

From the linked eBay ad...states "seller refurbished". I know Code 3 offered them in the XL...but I have never seen them in a MX7K. Do you think this was from the factory or a seller modification?

Looks like they were added by the power supply. Maybe pre-emption lights.

May have started life as a police or fire bar. Changed filters to amber.

They also appear to be Code 3 Par 36 holders... very possible it's factory.. Code 3 has been known to do whatever for whomever.

I cannot say I have ever witnessed that, but it could have been a 1-off demo, from the C3 factory. Someone calls and says "I have this idea for my dept" and Voila!

The "in-between" (where these called loovers?) separators between the upper and lower tiers looks to be home-made. I always seen them to be perforated. These are fully opaque.

Those appear to be the older style closeout plates, made of what I believe is referred to as fiberboard instead of painted steel.

Ive owned MX's with both painted steel(Louvered) and Fiberboard(Solid)
I've found that the MX's produced before 1992 generally have the fiberboard, or no separation at all

I have an Identical speaker housing, with the arrowstik in the bar on my work truck. The MX being sold just appears to have been polished, or perhaps lived somewhere that the weather is a bit kinder to the chrome...

I've never seen a MX7000 with PAR36 strobes before. I would not doubt that is factory installed. Nice find! I still own my XL lightbar with the PAR36 strobes mounted in the center.
