Colonie Signal 30 - 1 Vly Rd. - 06/22/2014

Signal 30 Structure fire in the Village of Colonie. Multiple departments responded to a 2 story wood frame house fire that was fully involved upon arrival. All occupants were safely out of the house when the fire fully engulfed the home.

Definitely a defensive fire. That Sutphen tower is purdy but I sure hope the power company secured the power to those overhead lines!

I've noticed before when I've seen posts on structure fires up north that they're already well advanced by the time equipment gets there.  Is that due to traffic problems or just a lot of volunteer departments that lose time in getting going?

It's a volly thing. No offense to any vollies on here. Also the power lines were secured.
