Im sure most of you guys have had to rig up a custom bracket a handful of times during an install. Im going to need to make a few and was just wondering what you guys have used and what seemed to work best for you and where you got them. Im assuming something pliable, yet strong.

Thanks

Are these external or internal brackets?
I've used aluminum and plexiglass before.
You can take pieces of 0.0625" or .125" aluminum to a local fab shop and see if they'll powder coat for you. They sometimes have scrap pieces laying around that you'll get for next to nothing, if you don't have a lowes or Home Depot around the corner.

I've also used pieces of plexiglass from Lowes with washers for mounting grill lightheads before b/c it's easy to trim down and make the holes needed. Is plexiglass the most durable option you'll find? No, but I've never had a problem with durability and the clear color (IMO) is a plus in certain areas b/c it doesn't stand out

I regularly build brackets fro 16ga steel easily purchased at home stores. Cut and shape with a grinder and tin snips bend with a vise or 18" brake from Harbor Freight.
