Dead WS-227A

Mods, please close my related thread in another subforum. I'm really trying to get it working. It was near the top of my kill list. Just to hear that distinct yelp would be lovely.

I have a complete WS-227A that's in excellent condition. Backlight even lights up. Problem is that it emits no tones. I can't hear the driver and there's no voltage at the speaker output.

I was thinking that because it's the variant that connects directly to an Edge bar and requires the bar for functionality. It doesn't make sense, I realize.

It came with a relay box for another WS-227A variant as well.

Edit: perhaps it's the connection between the control head and amp. I bought a new cable for it and checked the condition of the connection's wires on both the head and amp.

It's a shame because it's otherwise in great shape. Kent! Where have you gone?! We need you back!

The answer is the same as when you asked the same question about the same item in 2017. Light bar is not required for operation.

I'd forgotten. I've only been getting back into collecting and restoring very recently. It took a hiatus of a few years.
