"'[T]he deputy deploy[s ] the stop sticks and drop[s ] back into the grass area. At the time you see the suspect tap his brakes and make almost a 90-dgree turn to hit and kill Deputy Overall,' [Lapeer County Sheriff] McKenna said." Deputy Overall was a 50-year-old, 22-year veteran of the Oakland County Sheriff's Office in Michigan. He is survived by his new wife and an adult son.
