Dim strobe module?

My dept has a 2003 built Ford F-550 multi purpose attack truck. The lights all around at ground and mid level are strobes based upon 2 separate power supplies, one for the front 4 and another for the rear 4 strobe units. The weird thing that is happening is the left rear strobe unit is noticeably dimmer than the others. I typically deal with LED's and thus have little experience in diagnosing problems. We have checked the housing and strobe bulb itself and all is clean. From what I have read, strobe power supplies supply the strobe unit with the necessary high voltage to strike the light. Any ideas on what would be making one strobe merely dim compared to the others? I thought strobes either worked or did not (as in no dimming). Thanks everyone.

What Jared said.

Then look to make sure any connections are dry.

my whelen power supply had a "dimmer" wire that dimmed all the lights at night time, if this was your issue then they would all do this

is it a linear strobe, or the helix "kinda twisty looking" strobe tube?

most of the time if there different type strobes on a power supply that might change it a little due to size in tube, ive had this issue some times piddling with things

but could be the xenon gas going bad in the tube depending on how old the lights are

the ones in my truck are used and the bulbs almost black and still bright, if there whelen, check on back of the assembly to see if u see a little square thing with, i think the white wire going into it, mine had that go bad on it in my grill lights

only thing i could think of

See, this is why I come here! I will get some grease and take a look. The bulbs are the twisty ones. Wish they were linear as that would be brighter in a 5x7 rectangle. I am looking at a future LED conversion. I would just use the 12V to the strobe power supply and simply bypass the strobe supply. OR if I am good, could I use the existing wiring and just modify the 12V for molex and use the existing wiring WITHOUT the strobe power supply of course.
