Edge 9M oddity

What exactly is going on with the inner sections of this lightbar? Looks like a normal 4-strobe Edge 9M bar, but what are those near the center?

(Apart from that I quite like the minimal setup - a 4-strobe Edge is plenty to get you seen and make people stop... less is more! Nice graphics too.)

It looks like they took the 9M filler panels and mounted an LX4 style LED to it.

The user name looks familar, may be a board member.


I believe CHPdog here did something simialar as well.
