Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification

Most government contracts now require sub-contracted Service Technicians to be both National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification (EVTC) certifies. The nice thing about these two certifications they allow you to center on specialties, (such as Electrical Systems).

The downside; ASE stand alone classes and testing cost money. I'd recommend seeking a Community Colleges that have ASE Certs built in to the curriculum. Having these certifications will increase your revenue if you look for either one-off or long-tern Service Contracts with Local Governments.
