"Larry?" what is "M" in your alphabet? - in the alphabet I'm familiar with, M is "Mary" (which could easily be confused with L "Larry" if the connection is not clear) ... L is, to my knowledge, generally "Lincoln" ... ?

Like I said, this is a translation. To really get it, you'd need to learn my language first. (I've never heard of anything remotely like "Mary" in any phonetic alphabet.)

"could you start the 'hoe this way?"

or "yeah the chief is driving the 'hoe tonight"

Thats what we call our PD unit lol

....., another company I work for the supervisor's truck is L-9. Not sure why, but it is.....

This I never figured out, or also why the trucks in that company start at 410 instead of 401. L9, L10, & L11 are random sup truck numbers

Back in the day, numbers were assigned to depts, ie: Dept. A had 201 - 209 Dept. B had 210 -219 maybe it was something like that. that was before departments had so many vehicles and didn't need so many numbers.
