This is the fleet of Eclectic Fire Dept, we are a combination dept and I'm full time and the asst. chief. We run about 400 fire and medical calls a year with 36 people, with most being medical. We offer ALS transport to our 52 square mile district as well as anywhere else that calls.

I was thinking of changing the aero's on E2 for mini egde's, what do ya'll think?

the kme/pierce ladder refurb looks great. i like the idea of mini edges (over LEDs) to replace the rotators and personally think they'll make the truck even newer. (don't get me wrong about LED minibars, i love mini freedoms, but IMHO the strobe mini edges would fit in well better on a '78/'98 rig)

We have 3 full time and 3 part time. We have another full time medic and a full time 8-5 M-F driver and a 3 part time emts

Led's would be nice but since its older the strobes would look better to me to. We got E2 in Feb. I was able to find a used fire truck dealer who took our 98 e-one ford in on even trade, no money changed hands.

I forgot to mention that the fd and ems are seperate, in that the ems is funded through city budget and the fd gets no money from the town, the fd gets money from the county fire tax households pay $50 and businesses pay ,$100 a year and the county knows how many of each you have in your territory. We get less than 80k a year, where my other dept gets 200k a year. So I'm full time ems and a volunteer asst chief, but I have my paid ff cert so it helps lower the towns ISO rating by having a fulltime ff there. We do work 24/48 shifts. If we transport 10 pts a month that pays our salary.

New to us ambulance. 1996 Chevy 3500 with 6.2 diesel w/80k. Has braun box. I believe we ar the third owner, it had Masie township Ohio on box. Now we are able to tansport when one of our trucks goes down for maintance. It has al whelen halogens with an MX bar that has 2 slow outside with cascade mirrorsand 2 high speed in middle and interesction sweeps. On rear s a whelen 4500 with 3 flashers and 4 rotators. I know it needs to be upgraded, but they are talking about doing away with our jobs and going with the county contract in January.

Here are some videos, sorry for the quality they are from my blackberry.

I wouldn't remove the mini aero's, partially because I love the look of them. But if you do, you know where to find me.

I like the rear rotators on that new ambo. I love rotators in general of course, and I miss the days of the rear mini bar on an ambulance. Don't know if you really need it, but I always thought it looked cool.
