Does anyone know what the difference is between a model 77 and 78 siren. I have a 78B with a propell-o-ray light on the front. I was also wondering what the "B" was all about. Any info would be great.

I don't know much about the old sirens but all the sirens with a "B" I believe means there is a "brake" on the siren

The 70 series sirens were designated by their level of finish. The model 76 was an underhood mount siren with no rear housing, and a painted grill. The 77 siren had a chrome housing and grill. The 78 series was a dual tone siren with either a Sola Ray or a Propello Ray light. The B designation denotes a siren with a brake, A is without brake.
