I've had this Crossbar for almost 8 years and originally had 2 model 14's on it. But then took those off and the bar sat in storage.

So in the last few weeks I decided to put it together. I decided to use my two sentrys and visibeam II.

Everything on this is Federal except the power cable(it's a whelen inner edge cable).

I have 2 of the three domes I need (one is on order along with filters)

The two amber sentrys are two different speeds. i just bought them for them being sentrys, not for what speed they are.

I'll have to find a slower or fast motor out of my stash to make them normal.

I suggested this to someone else who had an old visibar: you might consider reversing the polarity on one of the 2 beacons so it rotates opposite the other, either center-out or out-center, they won't be consistently synchronized, but they will be in phase more than out of phase.

I agree, the two different motor speeds looks odd, but otherwise I like it.

That is cool. I didn't know Federal made an extruded bar like that. Call me strange, but I kind of like the different motor speeds.

I saw two different speed beacons some days ago on a car in the harbour of Kiel between lots of other blinkies. It was the most effective lighting I could see there. One very bright and long flash combined with some faster flashes right next to it. It was like "hmm, what the **** is THAT". And the slower flash gave a good marker of the cars position. So I would go for it.

Like that bar. :) Simple and effective.

Is this extruded bar a regular product by FedSig these days? Where to get it without any lights?

yes, that is a regular product. It is a universal mounting bar for beacons or other equipment. I have one too, CAL-TRANS style.
