Federal Signal Viper S2 Flasher problem

I just bought a 2nd Viper S2, and I now see that the original one that I had, has very "cheesy" patterns. Is there an issue with the older Viper flash patterns? does anyone know if Federal Signal will fix this free of charge? -Thanks

Probably not, considering they wanted to charge me labor to work on an item covered under warranty.

I used to have a dual S2 and hated the flash patterns that came with it.
