I appreciate the ease of use, programmability and wiring.  It definitely makes it easy for the end user to setup, especially a newbie.  And as some people's installs have shown, it's demonstrates how flexible the 4200 can be.  However, there are some upgrades that could be made to future versions, but that's for another post.

What do you appreciate most about the 4200 compared to other controllers you have used?

Will Feniex be developing a programming software compatible with Mac computers?

Is it possible to use the built-in TA controller on the 4200 to control a Cobra or Apollo light stick (rather than using the built-in flashers in the light sticks)?

You would have to remove the flasher in the stick. Wire a power wire to all of the lightheads ands and run individual ground wires from each light head to the T/A outputs on the 4200.

This will only work with the Cobra.

Yes... in the Cobra.

The apollo still won't work with the 4200 even if you used dummy heads.  They require constant power and ground and then power signals to activate each color.

I feel like Feniex should offer an out-of-the-box arrow stick that would interface with TA module in the the 4200.

They do.. it is the cobra dummy stick. It can be ordered to be prewired for that purpose.

Ahhh, ok. I misunderstood your last message to imply that the end-user had to modify it.

No.. that was only intended for those who want to modify a bar already in their possession

From Feniex it will come prewired for use with the 4200.

We had a 10 head cobra bar built out to use with one of the 4200's in our demo vehicle.   Wiring was pretty simple

Tom,

Is there any intention of you guys developing a version of the programming software for the 4200 that is compatible with Mac computers? I don't have any Windows computers, but I would like to purchase a 4200 to use for my vehicle, and would like to start using these in my customers vehicles, however I have no way of programming it, which is keeping me from purchasing one.

Thanks in advance!

I have a set of Cobra T3's that I use for intersection lights and would like to program one of the buttons to change the flash pattern on them but the cobras are 12v- to change the flash patterns but all the out puts for the buttons are 12v+ so how would I go about setting up one of the buttons to change their patterns ?

i see the TA is setup for 8 outputs. can it be used for 6? i have a microman bar that is only 6 ambers that so using 8 would casuse a delay somewhere in the pattern or wouldnt allow for an "end flash"

No way to isolate just six. You can do it but you are right about there being a slight delay.

The activation wire of the dominator should go to one of the ports 3-22
