Flash Pattern Effectiveness

This is not a lightbar question, but maybe someone here can help.

My wife and I ride e-bikes.

They have LED headlights and taillights.

I also wear a high-viz vest when I ride.

I also have a headlamp on my headlamp that is steady burn white LED.

I am considering a new headlamp that flashes.

What flash patterns are the most effective?

A lot will depend on area you ride, urban vs. rural, day/night etc. 60-120 fpm (flash per minute) is pretty standard. Gets some attention yet not too crazy. Avoid strobing patterns as they seem to twinkle at distance and can be very distracting to motorists, especially at night.

If it were me....I would rather have it on the bike if at all. And would not recommend any white flashing at night.

I do have one on the bicycle.

It flashes in the daytime, but is steady burn at night.

The area is suburban.

The advantage to something on the helmet is it illuminates where I look and turn my head.

If you want the helmet light for illumination, then leave it steady burn. Nothing is more distracting at night than driving a vehicle with flashing headlights, why do that to yourself on a bicycle? If it was me, I'd have a flashing red LED on the back of my helmet because that puts it up high for visibility. 80-120 FPM should do it.
