Flashback Taillight Flasher

I have a 2010 Chevy Avalanche and was looking to install a Flashback system. The rear light setup is similar to many of the new model Tahoe's and Suburban's with a upper and lower tail/brake light and a reverse light in the middle. The upper and lower tail/brake light come on when the brake is pushed, and both flash when the turn signal is used.

I have noticed that most of the Chevy vehicle with Flashback systems only flash one set (either upper or lower) of the tail/brake light and reverse light. I want to flash all 4 brake/tail lights against the 2 white reverse lights.

(I am trying to stay away from 6 hideway LEDs because of budget concerns.)

On a second thought... if I replaced all the standard bulbs with LED replacement bulbs, could I use a standard LED flasher?

Has anyone done that? Or are you able to only flash one set of red's against the reverse lights? Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks

LED replacement bulbs are worthless. The OEM halogen bulbs work by filling the entire reflector with light. You would be hard-pressed to find an LED replacement bulb that even comes close.

Hideaway LEDs are getting better, but for the money you would be wise to install a TLF.

Flashing two pairs of brake light bulbs against one pair of reverse light bulbs should be no problem with any well-made TLF. Years ago, I used a Galls/Sound-Off TLF to flash three pairs of brake light bulbs against one pair of reverse light bulbs. This setup worked for well over two years without issue.

Say no to LED STT bulbs. On the GM trucks, the LED bulbs will fast flash, and adding resistors tends to annoy the computer. There is no flasher, it is can bus. I've had to send GM trucks to the dealer to have the program changed, involving GM corp sending a program that is pass word and VIN specific to the dealer. A good traffic backer with the halogen bulbs will be just fine, and the dual red over the singe white will look great.
