Is the flasher used to make the inboard sealed-beams wig-wag flash a fairly universal item or does it have to be a specific type/model? When I search "Signal-Stat flasher" on the Internet I get dozens of types.. most I assume are used for turn signals and hazard lights. My guess is that none of these would work in this lightbar (namely the circular shaped ones). It should also be noted that I'm nearly watt/volt/amp illiterate. Please advise.

I'd ask member Marty1 here on the board. He restored a full ghostbuster style Plymouth Fury police car with the dual-comm lightbar. He should be able to help you.

Give me a few hours and when I get off work I'll open my Dual Comm and see what kind it has.

If you want to be 1000% period-correct/accurate, go with the 537 flasher. But you should know that thermal flashers like the 537 have an uneven flash rate, no 2 flashers are 100% alike, and you'll even see the flash rate slow down as the flasher heats up or the voltage running the bar starts to drop.

You might want to consider an electro-mechanical flasher like the Tridon, it's the same size, has a consistent 90fpm and audibly clicks like the 537.

I have a few different types of "can flashers" if you need one.
