University of Illinois is holding an event celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the LED, which was invented at the U of I. Here's the info. LED 50th Anniversary Symposium


Figured there may be someone here who is interested in the technology behind the LED and the story of it's development.

Yes, but that patent has made the University a *hit ton of money over the years...... Of course they are celebrating it!
