What I've found, some others have probably discovered same or similar.......

Rear doors aren't too bad but the Taurus & Explorer front doors are a PAIN to run wires thru - cut a fishing rod into 10" lengths, gives you several gauges of hollow smooth non sharp tubes, slide the piece thru the boot, then poke your wire through, slide the tube off the end of the wire. Saves much time, cussing and knuckle lacerations.  I've even made a couple out of aluminum brake line for custom curved applications.

I also use the plastic green strapping that holds cargo on pallets, the thicker stiff stuff works best, bend one end into a small  loop and tape it together flat - there's rarely a vehicle space that it won't fish its way through.

If you haven't already seen these, auto stores also have these hollow insert tools for poking wires through existing firewall grommets - work very well & extremely sharp..There's a few speckles of blood on mine......
