Glass mount antenna and tints

I currently use a through the glass mounted antenna for my scanner and have been debating getting tints. If I do get tints would I need to have the installers cut out a section for the antenna or would it be ok to stick it back on to the tint? I am not concerned with transmission through the glass, I am concerned about the antenna peeling the tint especially if I ever took it off in the future.

get them to make a cut out.. most tints won't allow RX/TX to work as well since they normally have metal impregnated within the tint.

You getting interior or exterior tint? Interior tint will last longer.. ;)

and to directly answer your question- yes the antenna WILL peel tint if you attempt to remove it.. Also a good chance the tint simply won't "hold" with the antenna mounted after a while. Factory tint is a different story, since its applied a totally different way (normally) but still see my first paragraph regarding RX/TX through tint.
