Hand cranked siren

I have a friend who has an old hand cranked siren, off a very old fire truck. Are those rare? What's it worth?

In ok condition one website (I have no clue how reputable this is) has said it is worth $50-$175. The manufacturer, if it was ever on a firetruck, what color and other things all have a effect on the value.
