Does anyone have a photo guide to installing HAW strobes in the headlights and reverse lights of a 2008 (or similar model year) Ford Explorer.

I really want to have HAWs but would rather not make an unnecessary mistake.

Just pick a spot where they will fite the best. Just be careful you dont have the strobe tube too clost to the lens, because the will bubble and mlet them... Strobes throw enough light that it almost doesn't matter where you place them in a housing.

Wasnt sure if there were any particular worries with chipping the reflective finish too much using certain bits.

No worries on the reflector finish, you will need two different sized bits for the headlight assembly. 1" hole saw for the final hole that the light fits to and either a 1 1/4 " bit for the outter housing if you use push in tubes or 1 5/8" bit for flange strobe tubes.

Only need the 1 " bit for the rear lights.

Do yourself a favor and drill with the lens facing upward (it reduces the chips falling into the housing) and have an air gun handy to blow everything out when done. Install was fairly easy and straightforward when I did my Explorer...
