So I'v been given the opportunity to outfit a military humvee. I've been told it's 24 volt, any suggestions on what product to use to drop down to 12 volt to run the lights radio and siren? Any other tips would be great.

Ummmm....check my thread(s) on this....

We went LED with ours so we used the "distributed load" technique.  Take your total 12v amp draw and divide it between the 2 batteries.  NOT recommended for anything that pulls 35 or more amps though (pump starters, hose reel motors).   We put our lights and radio (25amps) on BAT1 and siren (20 amps) on BAT2.

Most of what I needed was also found here....

They have darn near EVERYTHING figured out.  A lot to read through.  Take a good look at Project 2 and 56, 56a, 56b.   You can download PDF's of them.
