HHS2200 question

Not sure where to put this and I couldn't find any answers with the search function.

I'm trying to program my HHS2200. I wanted to set it up like my smart siren in my old vehicle, where my auxillary buttons would activate on the pursuit switch and then deactivate when the switch was turned off. I put my visor light on switch 6 and it activates when I go to sl2 and sl3. What I can't figure out is how to make switch 6 turn off when I deactivate the pursuit buttons.

I think you have to have it activate the output that switch 6 controls not the switch itself. So in the programming for SL2 and SL3 you need to make it activate the output for your light not the switch that the light is on.

If you do not have the install guide. http://www.whelen.com/install/142/14207.pdf look at page 6, Multi-Function Deactivation - To turn off all active operations, press and hold any active keypad button for at least 2 seconds.

On my CenCom Gold programming software there is a series of check boxes for each button and/or slide switch position to either ACTIVATE or DEACTIVATE other OUTLETS or SWITCHES. I don't know if the HHS2200 software does the same or not but I would bet it is an option since it is based on the CenCom software.

When I originally programmed it, I programmed switch 6 to come on with SL2 and SL3. In this configuration, I can turn off the visor light while still using all the other lights. The drawback is that when I deactivate the pursuit buttons, switch 6 is still activated.

When I reprogrammed it where only the outlet is activated on SL2 and SL3, switch 6 doesn't activate, but the visor light does. Switch 6 still activates the light but it will not deactivate it while SL2 or SL3 is running. The drawback to that is that I can not turn off the visor light while running the pursuit switch.

What I would like to do is to be able to turn the visor light on and off with the pursuit switch and still be able to deactivate it but still have everything else going

Hmm... I do that with my HLF on my CenCom. The pursuit switch activates (and deactivates) the switches but I can also manually turn of the HLF when I want to.

Ahhh, the joys of programming the HHS2200/Cencom. Terminology and explanations could be improved.
