I have a new Uniden BC 346XT that I have not used yet, I took it out of the box and that is about it. I have been thinking of selling it as my Radio Shack still works fine for me. I though it was broken and started working again, so my BC346XT has been sitting since September unused.

BC346XT is definitely one of my favorites, especially with the Fire Tone Out alerts. If it's not going to be moved at all, you can also look at the BCT15X as well, it's worthwhile for the higher quality audio output.

I also have the BCT15 as a mobile, and I can't say anything bad about it. I just recommended a handheld since you mentioned the Pro-92.
