Installation (Wire, Breakers, etc)

Where does everybody get their primary wire? I'm not talkin' about Radio Shack and O'Reileys. I'm needing atleast 35' of Red/Black Multi-conductor, and It'll be pulling around 30-40amps (Very rough estimate), so I'm thinking 8 guage? Either way, where do ya'll get it? And I'm also in the business for some Red, Black, Yellow, White Multi-Conductor Cable (For grille lights, LAWS, etc.). Also, I see a lot of the installers (such as Code4) using the breakers in their installs. I've done very minor installing, and never on a professional level. I feel my old install on my Dakota was a practicing ground for what not to do, and now I'm just looking for tips on the installation process (Not doing it professionally, just my POV and the occasional other person's install). And I have seen a couple of the install tip threads, but just looking for some that have'nt been said. Thanks!!
