Interesting MX find...

Picked up a 58 inch MX7000 just yesterday after finding it on FB marketplace (marketplace will be the death of me), intend to use it mostly for parts and sell off the rest.

What i found interesting about the bar and what made me want to pick it up was the lower amber domes on each end. Another interesting discovery once i opened it up was 4 Whelen strobes and a power supply, although i will most likely sell these off since im not terribly well versed in strobe tech.

I havent found much on code 3 making lower level domes in any color but clear and was wondering if anyone here would have any more info on them and how rare if at all these are.

From my experience, the colored lowers are pretty rare. Ive only ever seen blue and amber, but never red. Clear lowers with color insert were more the standard.

When I asked this same question years ago, I was told that, besides clear, Code 3 only ever made amber outboard MX lower lenses:

In my second thread on the topic, another member started a rumor that Code 3 made red or blue MX lowers but never released them:

Back in the day, I can remember having seen both an amber and a red outer lower.
itd be interesting to see if there are any existing pictures of red and blue lower outers, hell maybe code 3 could have had the option for green and magenta lower outers but they were never ordered.

The stop/turn/tail lights appear to have been moved way outboard from their original positions.
far as ive seen the S/T/T cant go anywhere else, on the lower level theyre too bulky, and only fit on the very ends of the bar, and their mount is one specific to only that of the lower level of the bar.

You're right! The S50342M MX Stop/Turn/Tail Light Assembly Lower go way outboard.

It's the S50296M MX Stop/Turn/Tail Light Assembly Upper W/Adapter Plate that go nearest the center:
