IS this dual band radio any good?

A friend told me about this radio but I do not know anything about it. There are a few in the county beside us that carries these and they say nothing but praises about it. does anyone here know anything about these. the prices look unbeatable.

I know an officer that used this radio as a trial unit. Might be OK as a backup radio, or a glorified scanner, but thats about it. Range isnt that great, he used it for two weeks on active patrol and gave it back for something better. Just from a (kinda) personal experience.

wow I must of missed it while looking. I looked on there and did anyone figure out anything on the mototurbo system.

I tried one for a month in the 136-470 split. I put it through its paces on simplex and repeater.It was off modulation on the repeater and would not take the repeater pair split on VHF. It also transmitted a subtone going into a UHF repeater that we (supplier and my techs) could not trace or resolve.


Would make a good scanner type radio for the price if all you needed was VHF and UHF.


Reminded me to much of the Puxang,Infinity,lowtier HYT stuff
