Junkyard find…..and a good one

So went to my local toy store (auto junkyard) after seeing a pickup with a streethawk on it and said………no f***ing way.

Went up this morning and to my shock it was still there……..bar has GREEN domes on it, and across from it was a pickup with an amber mini bar.

Stole both for $25

Now to do cleanup and find a new center cause its broken. Center rotator also has a green filter on it.

Is it a StreetHawk (black base) or a FireHawk (white base).
Kind of looks like a FireHawk with a bunch of grime on it.

Unfortunately its a black base that the owner had spray painted white to match his truck.

Lowers are now back to black but have to locate stuff for it now

Only county that i can think of that has a volunteer ambulance company is schuyler county ny.

I know some provinces in Canada use green for volunteer firefighters, but when i used to always see the truck it had a ny license plate soooooo no clue

First one I saw was a green bedazzled Whelen strobe mounted to a security pick up truck at Willow Lawn Shopping Center...early 90s.

So doing work on the green streethawk and can say it’s beginning to look better.

Lowers were spray painted
Domes have been polished up slowly

Need to find a few things though:
2 standard speed rotators
1 fast rotator
1 lower center
1 clear dome

Would love to find green lower lenses, but til time and funds allow, i’ll stick to what it had (4 ambers and 2 reds)

At various times and places, green lights have been used for private security, funeral escort, coroner, utility, volunteer fire/EMS, disaster communications, game and fish, airport administration and vehicles at open-pit mines. Sometimes just the green, often with other color combinations.

Green now in NY is used by municipals for snow removal, plows and such. Has been in effect for three years now. They say green is more effective than amber in a snow storm, so they say.
