Just picked up this GREEN Federal 184 POWER LIGHT

Thanks to my good friend and fellow ELB member Glen, he showed me this Model 184 with the original green dome on CL. The seller said it lights up but does not spin. He also listed/titled it as a "green dome light" (LOL). So today I drove 3 hours to look at it! (Yes, a 6 hour round trip) He said he connected power to the red wire and the bulbs lit up some but the motor did not spin. I laughed inside and just said "huh". I guess he never thought an electrical item might need to be GROUNDED! Got home, cleaned it, added power and for the heck of it, ground too and what do you know, it lit up and spun just like it was brand new!

Beautiful 184 and I've never seen one in green around these parts.

congrats Matt. very nice looking light. these are the first green domed 184s that i recall seeing. the rarity of the dome color makes them really stand out. i was under the impression that no federal green domes were made for the 184. well, i guess you and Dan proved that wrong.
