Kenwood 272g Program mode

I have the software, heave the cable. Just for the life of me I cannot remember how to get the radio in to programming mode. Can anyone help?

I believe all you have to do is hook the cable up to your computer and radio, turn computer on, load program, turn radio on and then select read radio from top bar in software. That should be it, I don't believe you have to press any buttons on the radio first.

That should be it. No programming mode unless you are upgrading firmware.
