Hello, im looking for everyone's opinion on what they feel is the brightest dash light?? So far, in my own personal experience, the brightest i have had is a Nova Bull triple LED dash light, and that seemed brighter than my SNM D6 Dash Light (great light). How about you guys?

It depends what you mean by brightest. Do you mean head on or off axis. Its not really fair to compare two different types of optics, since one is brighter head on, while the other is good off axis. Also, you should compare the footrpint or beam the light creates. A mini single led dashlight may be as bright as a larger one (Compare a spitfire to a dual led dashlight) up close, but at a distance it doesnt really have as much effective power. One you have taken all of the variables in, it comes down to preferance and needs. LEDs are bright!

Yeah, i have heard the avenger many times before... and yeah i see what you are saying. A TIR style light is much different than a linear style light.... but i guess i would want linear for better off- axis at intersections.

A simple dash light doesn't give you enough off axis warning to make a real difference when it comes down to it IMO. Go with a TIR style dash light so you get the most punch for your buck when it comes to clearing the traffic in front of you and get a set of corner strobes or something if your worried about intersection warning.

TOMAR 200S, high power. Hands down the brightest dashlight I've ever owned. It reflects off street signs during the day.

Can we get a video? I bet the avenger is right next to it in brightness, and its $100 cheaper.

Never seen a tomar or an avenger in person and actually had a chance to look at them, owned a slimiser, but got rid of it because it didnt have enough output for me.

I used to only use whelen dashlights, but the county started installing Federal Signal Vipers on their rear deck, and i wont touch the whelen linear technology anymore! Viper wins in my opinion!

Whelen Dual Avenger. That's the only dash light you need to know.

Not even close......first off the TIR6 slimlighter is brighter and thinner and second of all...we all know the Federal signal Viper is the brightest dashlight out there. No argument there.

IMO the Whelen Dual Avenger or the Federal Signal Viper Dual S2 are both bright, I currently have a Whelen Dual Talon and it works nicely as well. Not to familiar with Able 2 but I know they usually live up to as good of standards as the rest...point being as long as you are happy and you dont have some cheap ass KO then your good to go.

Chevy vs Ford...... which is better??

What one person might think is bright, another might not. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one.

This whole 'which is brighter' is a dumb debate. Namebrand LEDs are plenty bright as is. Go with what fits best in your budget, which flash patterns you like the best (I don't care for FedSig), and which mounts the best.

Everyone will have a different light they like best..... you are best off finding one that fits your application for mounting and optic type. Brands are pretty much irrelevant as long as it's a major one.

My personal preference for overall use is the Avenger, but the Viper really impresses me and I love the overlapping flash patterns. Tomar gets fantastic reviews, but it prices itself out of the realm of possibility for most folks. Kind of like buying an HK instead of a Glock.

Linear LED technology far surpasses strobe technology, and is best for overall light dispersion, off axis, etc. The falling price of the Avenger, its reliability and durability give it my vote...but the others are fine products as well.

viper s2, i used to use it at my old pd on the patrol units. it was brighter that any of the led lightbars on the units and could be seen way before you could even see the lightbars.
