LED freedom Bar Pattern Question

Get the model number off of the bottom of the bar. Do some searching, you'll find the manual for that bar that tells you how. Typically, there is a wire or connector inside that you apply +12v to make the patterns change.

Of all the Freedom bars Ive installed (which is in the 100's), you activate whichever pair of lightheads you to want to change, and then momentarily apply 12v to the white wire w/ purple stripe. That will advance it to the next pattern. Keep doing that until you find the pattern you want.

Be careful! The white/violet wire is not always the the scan-lock pattern wire.


On the Whelen NFPA Mini-Freedom, the white/violet wire is the control wire for the endcap leds. The scan-lock wire is black/yellow in this configuration. More information is here: http://www.whelen.com/install/137/13781.pdf

Yup, that's why I didn't specify. Get the proper info so you don't cook something. :sadcry:
