Anyone care to post their experience with them? They submitted a bid and I've never heard of them.

Thanks.

I did not order from him but my buddy did and it wasn't a good experience. My buddy orders over $1000 dollars worth of lights and a Carson siren. So my buddy waits and waits and no shipment. So he calls led outfitters. Led outfitters kept coming up with excuses why he didn't ship the lights. After he argues with him, led outfitters finally agrees to upgrade the shipping. So my buddy finally gets his stuff. He looks through it and realizes he forgot to order a siren speaker. So he gets back online and orders a speaker. He looks a day later and order has been declined. So he calls Led Outfitters. They said"I'm sorry sir. We don't like dealing with your kind here." and hangs up. So no speaker as of now. So we begin to hook up lights on his vehicle. We install everything no problem. Then we began to install the siren. Turns out the siren does not work. My buddy didn't want to deal with led outfitters again so he just calls Carson. Carson is taking care of the siren for him. So to make sure everything works we lit up his truck. The back led hide-a-way justs quits. and the 4 head stick in the back windshield quits. We fixed the 4 head stick. But I don't know about the hide-a-way led. I do not know if he called led outfitters about it or not. Other than thats lights are awesome and bright. In essence I would not do business with him.

Also we checked the Better Business bureau. Well you can check it out your self there. http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-reviews/lighting-fixtures-retail/led-outfitters-in-great-neck-ny-105986/

Holy crap! 88 complaints in 24 months with only 9 of those complains resolved?! Screw that. I had debated getting some products from them - not any more!

This is why I buy 99% of my stuff off of ELB.

I do the same, for two reasons, i can't afford to buy shit new, and if someone screws you on here everyone gangs up on the guy!

Too bad. These lights had lots of potential....

I ordered a set of LED HAW's from them. I placed an order for red/white, blue/white LED's. When I got the order (about a week later) the LED's were just red and blue. Now, it's not what I ordered, but I'm not complaining because they are used in my POV. As I checked them in different locations for light output, I pulled the blue one out of the housing and it came apart. It had 2 wires on the top of the LED which I was later able to solder back together and the light worked.

As for the company, I have tried to become a local dealer for them. I sent them several e-mails and I have to this day NOT had a response at all. So, I've given up trying. The lights are bright, work and are cheap. Sometimes you get what you pay for. As for them, I have planned on buying a few more items, but not sure right now.

ive made several purchases with him and had no problem with shipping , customer service , products , etc ..... if you look at the classified posts he had and all the members that bought versus the members that are whining about free stuff they got should tell you something . i would definitely make future purchases with him ...

The only problem I see here is that even though there may have been problems on your end and he got his shipment. After he realized he didn't order a speaker, he came back to you and you turned him away. I think you should have taken it as a compliment that he came back to you instead of taking his business else where. \

Well according to his statement it says otherwise. IDK Who to believe, lol

I've sent the guy the new flange and he didn't get it. It was sent regular cheap canadian mail. I have since then sent him another one.

It is ironic that the customers who paid for products never made demands or made me look bad. The one guy who got stuff for FREE continues to put me down. Thanks

Holy shit, you are going to mention this again?

YOU PM'ed me first- Asking ME to do a REVIEW for you.

I said I was not comfortable purchasing your products due to PAST issues.

You OFFERED the lights FREE- If I do a review. Which I have (half) done.

Don't try blaming this "missing" flange on Canada Post- EVERY item into Canada from the USA has a customs #. (and is tracked- nothing from NY has been shipped to me since the original order)

I gave you an unbiased review on what I had - and still stand by it. Good product, bright- but warranty/ issues after the product shows up is a MAJOR issue with you. I'm only 500 MILES from NY- there is no way it takes over 2 months for a item to arrive. I get regular parcel items from TEXAS in less than 10 business days... Texas is over 2600 MILES from me. I'm sure you can do the math on this one.

Hey, I have a good friend who resides in Buffalo, NY. Items between my residence and his takes 3-5 business days, regular parcel. (either way)

I've even offered to pay for shipping in the last PM. I also call BS on your "it costs over $10.00 to ship a flange" as I quite often get Astro spectra radios (50 watt versions) shipped to me for less than $8.00- from the USA.

And after all this crap- I am still wanting to do a outdoor/real product review of your items.. I should toss them in the trash, but I'm going to/trying to honour MY END of our agreement, and provide you with a unbiased full review.

So, where is the bracket you were supposed to ship? I'm damn confident you still have yet to ship me anything as a replacement- after all.. recall this thread you created?? http://www.elightbars.org/forums/showthread.php?8122-DECISION-MADE

Oh and the best part-I don't know where you mentioned it but I recall you complaining about me being able to "use" free lights.. Lets talk about lights for a moment.. Actually, lets start with my car. I don't need any more lights on it. It's fully visible/lit to my liking, actually its got more lights than I think it requires. And... back to lights, lets start with a image:

ai110.photobucket.com_albums_n83_unlisted8495_lights_20sirens_818de7c456f3160e781e4a063522d456.jpg

your lights are at the lower left of the image. It appears, even without your "free lights" I have a excess that simply sits @ my residence. So, me trying to "score" free lights was not my intention, nor was it ever. I have more than enough.

I'm done with this thread, and all the others- until I see a replacement flange show up to replace the original one which showed up broken. If I don't see one in a few weeks, I will update a thread stating it has yet to arrive. (hell, I waited almost two months before publically posting it, gotta give me credit for waiting that long)

The carson siren not working has nothing to do with us. All carson warranty issues must be dealt with them. If you had issues wit the other lights, I would have been more than happy to fix the problem for him and stiill will.

The Oklahoma Highway patrol has numerous lightbars in their fleet with out any issues.(+30) Reference is available.

Ripoff report does not verify any of the stories, and about 40 of them are from the same customer who continues to harass us. All orders are paid with credit card, and if our lights were really that bad, then we would be dealing with chargebacks all day long now wouldn't be. We wouldn't be able to stay in business if these complaints were 100% issue.

I do admit that at times, I am short with some customers, but when the customer asks of me to do things which are totally unreasonable, I do become short and I am sorry.

Types of complaints I get that make me scratch my head

(I'm sorry i ordered the wrong color lightbar, I thought my son can run red/blue. Overnight a new lightbar to me at your expense and I will then send you this one back. ((Some of the people I deal with))

Why did you send the shipment signature required??? I wasn't home to sign for it and now I can't install it this weekend. I'm not referring you to anyone again((The guy spent over $2000 in lights and just wants me to leave it at his doorstep. Have in mind that the customer received an email with the tracking stating the date of delivery and that it must be signed for))

I will continue to post more stories as I remember them

Ok. well what about the part were we called you about the speaker and you told us that you don't deal with our kind there and hang up. I have to admit that your lights are pretty dang impressive. And from what my buddy tells me you had the balls to admit it was your screwup on the shipping. I myself was going to buy a led visor from you. But when you cancel his speaker order and tell him that. Thats not good business on your part.

Same ole' SLK... Nothing ever changes. Even if you polish a turd, it's still a turd.

In this company's defense.... I have dealt with them without problems. My PM's are answered within hours and their products held up very well. I'm sure that has something to do with me running the site...... but from my own experiences I can say I have had a great experience with this company.

.... You Pm'd me and told me you didn't get it. You stated that you would really like to receive it by Feb.....

lol.. Math time again. The ORIGINAL order arrived Mid November, 2010... Why on earth would I "request" the replacement flange arrive by Feb, 2011?! I than still waited 2 months with multiple PM's back and forth and promises from you confirming that a replacement flange was shipped. (up to now, multiple times) Almost every PM I also CC'ed John Marcson on, so he can confirm I was attempting to "rectify this issue" if you want to ask him.

I would also like to direct your attention yet again, to this thread: http://www.elightbars.org/forums/showthread.php?8122-DECISION-MADE Your post, (post 25) posted @ 11-22-2010 10:48 AM

Thanks Shues,

I'm going to send it out today
So according to you the first replacement was shipped mid November... Yet you claim I wanted it here by mid Feb? (months later?)

Also.. I thought of something last night, very fitting.

Products may change, but the business practices stay the same.

(and yet again, I am going to mention this one more time.. I like the products quite a bit- not the customer service)

I really hope someone with better business practices starts offering this product line at close to the same costs..

do you not have the address from the first time you sent it?

ledguy said:
Chris,

The flange never got to you. I get it. Still waiting for your address and we'll send it out again.

.... Yet you never asked me for it the past two months... over a dozen PM's... ugh.

PM inbound with my shipping address.

Thanks.

(NOTE: most the whole mod/admin team was CC'ed on the same PM for tracking purposes)

Made the mistake or purchasing some KO tir6's. They would work for about a week and die. My multiple attempts to get them replaced/fixed always ends up in him telling me that he will send me new ones when I purchase more items........why would I want to buy more junk....why can't I get a refund? Still stuck with 3 paperweights.

Still waiting Mike.............Glad I went with Pimp's lights instead.

I made two seperate orders from ledguy;

A. (2) SEM3-amber

(2) Brackets

and

B. (2) LNR4-amber/white

(2) Brackets

Both transactions went smoothly. Shipping was fast (about 3 days) and both orders were correct. I have only tested the lights, but both worked and seemed surprisingly bright. Of course I can't say whether the lights are good because I haven't used them for a long period of time, I can say however that the transactions went smoothly and the lights seem to be good quality.

Just my personal experience.

LedGuy wanted me to write a review for his "talon" knockoff lights and then his "slimlighter" knockoffs...and I had to buy mine :(

Unlisted if I were you, I'd just ship back the leds and let the subject die. StrobeLightKing / LEDguy isin't going to come thru on his side apparently.

I'm sticking with pimp pods and sirennet.com ... both answer emails and have great customer service.

Im done defending myself. J Duke, when you return your "broken" stuff you'll get it warrantied. I didn't have chris address, because I deleted it from my pms as my mail box gets full all the time. It wasn't a paid transaction so I don't even have record of it in my email or paypal.

Ok Mike just need an address to send them back to. I paid $35 each on them.
