LFL Patriot Questions

I recently became the proud new owner of a LFL Patriot. I have several questions about this bar.


a) it has the traffic advisor in rear, is there a way to disable this feature and have the 6 led lightheads flash in a random pattern?


B) can I replace/add 500 series lin6 and tir6 leds?


c) will this controller work for my lightbar?

d) does anyone on here have a clear lense kit complete with gaskets they'd wish to sell?


e) does anyone want a pair of complete strobe housings w/ strobes?

Yes, there is a wire that will activate the warning pattern.


B) can I replace/add 500 series lin6 and tir6 leds?


I know they would fit, but I don't know about how the whole ballast/passive thing might play into it.


c) will this controller work for my lightbar?

No, that is for WeCan bars.

2004 and newer Liberty Bars use Passive lightheads which are just powered by the I/O Board. Older "ballasted" lightbars require a ballast, or LED power supply, to run the LED's. I'm not sure if passive heads would work with the Patriot.

wow thanx again man! i'm gonna download the pdf file! one more question hope you can bare with me haha with leds 1-6 can i tap into those for 2 more upfront? maybe i'm better off just getting another led power supply to be safe....

There is another plug on the I/O Board that can run front LED's, there is a separate wire that activates those. You will just need to get the harness to connect those heads. I wouldn't "tap" anything, but that is just me.

where could i buy the harness? would any whelen dealer have it or is it a special order item?

This is the part number that I have for the harness:


Internal Front & Rear LED Harness: 46-0963330-00


But, I am sure someone has one and will chime in sooner or later. Look for people selling Liberty or Patriot parts.

i guess i will start taking apart my bar so i can see what harness's are already in there and see what i can do. i want to build this bar right the first time haha


i'd like to think that since i have 6 led heads in the rear the front harness is in there as well just waiting to be hooked up
