License plate restoration

hello all,
I posted a thread earlier about a 77' dodge monaco that I am in the process of restoring and now I need help finding a relatively cheap place that can restore license plates. I have an original CA Exempt but it needs HELP! thanks all for any info.

OK, check with your dmv office first...the Commonwealth of Virginia (aka the Communist State) will allow you to use original plates for the year of your antique vehicle (my 1961 Olds Starfire had '61 VA plates), but WILL NOT register restored/repainted/repaired plates. They were highly suspicious and skeptical when I brought in very nice looking plates for my freshly restored sled.... If you must use real plates, check auto restoration shops near you first, but this site is the best for recreation plates--I bought a '61 Jefferson Co. KY plate from them to attach on my sled for car shows--they are THE BEST. (They don't have CA, but do custom work)
