Good Evening All,
I picked this MARS 888 up a few years ago from a fellow board member with the lofty goal of putting on a firetruck I intended to buy and fix up. Life has not brought the firetruck to fruition and I don't expect it to anytime soon. As such, this light is sitting collecting dust and I'd like to see it go to a better home.
I believe this light was once on a firetruck. Part of the chrome has red paint on it, so to me, my guess is it was on a side pillar of a engine or truck. The light has definitely seen use and is far from pristine. This being said it does function beautifully. The gears inside appear to be OK and it does have the LED lighthead vs the older incandescent/halogen.
**I did notice at the bottom of one of the internal disks, the casting has a crack in it but it doesn't seem to affect the functionality of this piece at all.**
I would expect that this piece would be best suited for a collection or put on a privately owned piece of apparatus. With the crack in the casing, I'd be hesitant to put it back in service with normal wear and tear.
I have not cleaned her up as I don't have time.
Pricing, I see them new from 850-1200. As with the condition and potentially limited market, $350.00 shipped in the CONUS.
