That was the most hokey tease I have ever heard for a news story.  The drums in the background sounded like they came directly from Mad Max Fury Road.

Looks like the rescue (fire rescue ambulance, medic unit, etc) failed to stop at the red light.

SMH...how many times do we need to teach proper intersection clearing?

On these trucks if you don't come to a complete stop (like the state says to do) your side mirror can block a large vehicle...like a fire truck...if your mirror is moving at the same pace as the traffic. The FF probably didn't even see the truck till it was directly in front of him at impact. Very sad. I'm glad nobody was killed. Just another reminder to slow down and stop at intersections. Be safe!

Red light= stop no matter what. Proceed after if it's safe. No excuse.
