can anyone tell me if there is a specific web site or sites to decode model numbers on motorola radios.also where can i find frequency listings for fire/police/ems

you can find fire/ems/police frequencies on radioreference.com. As for the Motorola model numbers I too have been looking for such a site.

It really depends on the model of Motorola, u can probably just do a general search of the model...ie Motorola ##### and sift through a few sites to find a # decoder. I would also try batlabs

That has limited uses and won't usefully break down many radios like the CDM's, CP's, HT's, and more.


Best resource is either batlabs.com or repeater-builder.com - they will have some, but not all, of the info the OP seeks.


Within a specific radio like the CDM's, it is best to get a copy of the chart for them.
