I got one that was left on a HT1000 that I picked up but the previous owner said "Oh, that thing, I have no idea what it does." So far my research says that it's some kind of bluetooth accessory and it allegedly connects to just about any bluetooth headset. Can anyone provide aditional information and/or an actual product manuel for this thingy?

It only has the part that attaches to the radio, there are no additional headsets or anything else.

PAIRING YOUR AUDIO DEVICE

First time connection steps:

1. Ensure the Earpiece portion of the wireless device is

plugged into the POD portion of the wireless device.

2. Verify that both the radio and the wireless device are

powered ON (First time only: Once the wireless device is

powered ON, it goes into Pairing Mode automatically.)

3. Ensure that device is in pairing mode (refer to Table3 on

page9).

4. Both the wireless device and wireless adapter must be

within pairing range (recommended pairing range is within 1

meter).

5. Paired Successfully indication is provided upon successful

pairing (refer to Table3 on page9) and a tone is heard on

the audio device’s speaker indicating a connection request.

6. Press the PTT button on the wireless device to start

connection process.

7. The wireless device connects to the radio upon completion

of the connection process.

8. Wireless Link Connected with Host indication is provided

upon successful link establishment (refer to Table3 on

page9).

9. You are now ready to use your wireless device.

It would appear that this only works with the wireless adapter PMLN5712.

You happen to have a link to a .pdf that you got that from or anything like that? Would be most appreciated. Otherwise I'm off to my local M guy who's a dick.

I pulled that off of the docs on my MOL (Motorola OnLine) account. I had to look at the document for the PMLN5712 to get the info.

I can link it, but unless you have an account the link won't work.

Thanks anyway, but no MOL account.

As an update, I managed to get the thing to link with the bluetooth I normally use for my PS3 (some cheap crap from Gamestop). Audio receive quality is equal to or better than the standard radio speaker but audio output is a hair too quiet. I'm going to try to get it to link with another bluetooth if I get my hands on one.
