Mounting LEDs on a grill guard

I've got a sportsmen grille guard from westin, and it seems like the sides are solid metal. I"m wondering how/if i can mount LEDs to that side part? Maybe its not solid metal and there's a trick to this I'm not seeing. I'm looking at putting some TIR3 or TIR6 heads on the sides

Drill the mounting holes then drill one for the wire. TIR3/LIN3/Impaxx/etc need 3 total holes.
