MSP Spitfire in Action!

Don't see many Michigan State Police still running the Unity RV-26 Spitfires anymore. I passed this one today on a Motor Carrier officer's Tahoe. The dome's looking rather faded and one of the bulbs was not working.

For a VERY brief time, during the transition, there was a NEW Charger (as in, they just got it, and it was the current body style) here at the Grand Haven post that had an old spitfire domed halogen/sealed beam 26 on it. It was very cool to see the brand new car with the old light on it, but a few months later it got the 'upgrade', as they call it...

Faded dome leaves it with less "pop" as well. To this day, I don't think anything can compare to the punch of an MSP Spitfire with a good red lens at night.
